(C) Commercial service providers authorized as CHAMPUS suppliers in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (f) of this section enter into a participation agreement provided by the Director, OCHAMPUS or agent. (D) Maintain Medicare`s approval for payment if the Director, OCHAMPUS, or agent, determines that a category or type of provider specified in this paragraph (f) is substantially comparable to a provider or provider for which Medicare has regulatory conditions of participation or coverage. (A) Full Claims Participation: Participating Vendor Program. A CHAMPUS Authorized Supplier that is not required to participate under this Part may become a Participating Supplier by entering into an Agreement or Letter of Intent (Mou) with the Administrator, OCHAMPUS or Agent, which includes, without limitation, the provisions of paragraph (a)(13) of this Section. The Director, OCHAMPUS or Agent may include in an agreement/letter of intent from a participating supplier provisions that establish uniform procedures and conditions between CHAMPUS and a particular category, category, type or supplier that promote the participation of the provider while improving recipients` access to services and contributing to the EFFECTIVENESS of CHAMPUS. The RTC is not an authorized champus provider and CHAMPUS services are not paid for services provided up to the date on which a participation agreement is signed by the Director. (xvi) Critical Access Hospitals (CAH). CAHs must meet all of the eligibility requirements set out in 42 CFR 485,601 to 485,645 for TRICARE beneficiaries in order to receive a payment under the TRICARE program. If a CAH provides inpatient psychiatric services or inpatient rehabilitation services in a separate sub-unit, the separate sub-unit must meet the eligibility criteria set out in 42 CFR 485,647, with the exception of payment under the Inpatient Prospective Payment System for Psychiatric Facilities as defined in 42 CFR 412.1(a)(2) or the Prospective Inpatient Payment System for rehabilitation hospitals or rehabilitation units as defined in 42 CFR 412.1(a)(3). After the implementation of TRICARE`s IRF PPS in § 199.14 (a) (10), if a CAH provides rehabilitation services to inpatients in a separate sub-unit, the separate sub-unit is paid by TRICARE under the IRF PPS. (13) Participation agreements. Any participation agreement otherwise required under this Part shall contain in part all of the following provisions that are binding on the Supplier: (6) Mammography Provider. .
